Jillian has attended songwriting workshops conducted by the Tennessee Songwriting Association, the Nashville Songwriting Association and the Australian Performing Rights Association. She has conducted work for the Western Australian Music Industry, where she evaluated songs and judged the Blues & Roots genre of their annual song competition.

Today she works as an evaluator for the Australian Songwriting Association, as well as being one of their finalist judges in their national song competition.

A prolific songwriter herself, she has won awards globally such as the International Songwriting Competition in Los Angeles. Jillian also writes jingles for radio and wrote the song for the lighting of the Olympic flame in Kalgoorlie.
