Buddy Knox

Buddy Knox is a Blues Artist who formed his own Band, the Buddy Knox Blues Band in late 2006. His dream to be an outright Artist comes after twenty five years of playing guitar all around Australia, Canada, London and in Nashville, with many respected performers.
Buddy’s Band progress has been pretty exciting, with performances at some of the biggest music festivals in Australia. His passion for the blues is obvious, with lightning speed licks and riffs on a 335 Gibson, he promises his blues show will “smoke ya boots!”
Buddy was named the 2009 Australian Blues Music Chain Awards Best New Blues Talent Award.

Front man from Perth’s Premier Boogie Band ON THE LEVEL.
Dave said, “ Don’t get me wrong, I love to boogie hard, but lately I’ve been writing
a different style of tune, kind of Stompy Blusey Tunes, I’m even liking a little banjo,
some soulful warm Gibson Guitar, Hammond Organ, Rhythmic Acoustic Shuffles,
topped off with my new Wazinator foot stomp.

Toowoomba born and bred blues musician Brendan Leggatt is happy to announce the release of his debut cd The Traveller mid 2009. Now living in Brisbane, he has racked up 20 years of playing live under his belt including performances in Memphis, New orleans and Dublin and has put an energetic and memorable live show together with his band Brendan Leggatt & Hobo Instinct, swording thru stomp your feet swampy blues tunes and moving midnight ballads. The band has also reached the Brisbane semi finals in the International band competition The Emergenza Festival, performed at many other festivals including Greenfest, Urban Roots Festival and Fete de la Musique and Brendan's songwriting has been recognised getting through to semi finals of the A.S.A. national songwriting competition.

Brendan Leggatt & Hobo Instinct are available for festivals/gigs/line ups and originals music venues.  

Mike Beale

Forming the blues rock band Men in Blues in 2005 has seen Mike Beale recording and performing at many of Australia’s premier blues festivals.
Studio and commercial recording commitments kept Mike and the band off the road for the most part of 2008 but this change of focus also allowed the time to develop a solo album ‘Short Stories’.
‘Writing for other people meant I had a lot of great songs lying around that weren’t being used and I really wanted to get them down.’
So mid 2008 saw Mike return to acoustic playing with the new album recorded on the Gold Coast at Big Note Productions with legendary engineer/producer Adrian Stuckey (Neil Finn/Split Enz). “

Every artists new album these days comes with media campaigns heralding brilliant new songs, catchy hooks, amazing song writing etc and often the listener is left disappointed. With Beale it’s like someone’s taken all the best bits of your favourite singer songwriters mixed them together and then added a guy who can really play guitar and sing. Heartfelt lyrics with beautiful melodies married to great guitar playing. Never once do you forget that this is a powerful acoustic artist but equally remarkably is you wont find yourself listening to a bunch of songs that all sound the same.

Formed in 1995, The Melbourne-based trio of Guitar harmonica and drums have established themselves as one of Australias leading blues bands with their hypnotic, foot stomping country blues. Collard Greens and Gravys Silver Bird album won the Best Self-Produced CD award at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in February 2005. Silver Bird, the bands third album, builds on the success of More Gravy, which won an ARIA Award in 2001. In 2001 they placed overall runner-up at the IBC then successfully toured the United States. The IBC is an annual competition held by The Blues Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee to unearth outstanding independent blues musicians.
Their 4th album Devil in the Woodpile was released in 2007 to wide critical acclaim and has won several awards.
