Artist:
KNiKi www.kniki.com |
KNiKi KNiKi’s signature sound is hauntingly powerful. KNiKi’s music is expansive and thought provoking as she takes her listeners on a journey of contemplation and self-discovery. She arrived in the world somewhere near Bunbury Western Australia. Delivered by her father, she was born blue and raised in Perth. KNiKi started writing music in her early 20's where she found herself submerged in a period of musical discovery, experimenting with various styles in order to find her true musical passion and niche in the industry. The end product is like a Martini to the ear; a delicate twist of jazz overlays KNiKi’s smooth signature blues vocals accompanied by MEYER’s Blues/Rock influenced backing. KNiKi’s
second album JUST was released in August 2008 at the Perth Blues Club,
backed by John Meyer’s Blues Express Band. Currently, KNiKi and
Meyer are writing KNiKi’s third Blues album yet to be titled and
due for release beginning of 2010.

Mike Beale Label: Independent www.myspace.com/mikebealesolo
|
Mike Beale Forming
the blues rock band Men in Blues in 2005 has seen Mike Beale recording
and performing at many of Australia’s premier blues festivals. Every
artists new album these days comes with media campaigns heralding brilliant
new songs, catchy hooks, amazing song writing etc and often the listener
is left disappointed. With Beale it’s like someone’s taken
all the best bits of your favourite singer songwriters mixed them together
and then added a guy who can really play guitar and sing. Heartfelt lyrics
with beautiful melodies married to great guitar playing. Never once do
you forget that this is a powerful acoustic artist but equally remarkably
is you wont find yourself listening to a bunch of songs that all sound
the same.

Devil Creek
|
Devil Creek DEVIL
CREEK are a swamp/blues country rock band making quite a name for themselves,
playing their foot stompin music wherever they go. Their songs are full
of flavour, layered with blues/roots rhythm with a touch of drunkenness.
Devil Creek are in the studio recording their debut CD, so stay tuned... They’ve been described as “A freight train wrestlin” with an alligator in the middle of the night, in the deepest darkest swamplands of Medina” Klifford.J.Fyshwick - vox/bass/acoustic guitar -- Ol'Bleedin Ear McMurphy - slide guitar/stomp box -- SirGavalot – drums Here’s what some other muso folks have to say………. I
wondered what happened to my friends smokestack and applejack, then
I saw the rusty holden and it all made sense - they've been eaten by
that old car and their spirits are trapped inside it, but it's connected
to the studio by USB2.0, and they record when the car is asleep. Directors comment...well since I grew up in Medina and I live in Mandurah, I have nothing to say...hehehe the deepest darkest swamplands of Medina are indeed deep and dark.... Simon Kelly
